Season 2023/24
Vasily Karasev's team is showing its best form by the end of the regular season. The other day, MBA won its 9th victory in a row (this is the longest current winning streak in VTB history). Muscovites have already guaranteed themselves a place in the play-in, and they can take 3rd place in group B if our team loses to the IBA, and Avtodor loses to Pari Nizhny Novgorod. In this case, Muscovites will be able to count on the advantage of the home court in future games.
Leaders
Andrey Lopatin missed only 1 game of the season, in 38 games the Russian forward demonstrates average statistics of 11.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists in almost 28 minutes on the court. Another striker of the team, Vladislav Trushkin, in 36 matches, averaged 10.1 points per match, made 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists, spending 20.37 minutes on the floor.
MINSK head coach Aliaksei Sukhavetski: "We are meeting in the final match of the season with MBA. This team had a great second stage of the regular season. They had leaders who led the team. Our task is to try to make the game as difficult for them as possible. A lot of things started to turn out that we were working on. The players have been feeling better about each other on the court lately, but we still have a lot of work to do to achieve optimal quality. We need to act more relaxed, try to move the ball even better than in the previous game, try to fix our problem with free throws, and please our fans with a victory. It will not be easy to do this, because the IBA is still fighting with Avtodor for the third place in the standings, which will allow them to gain home-court advantage in the first round of the play-in. We are not waiting for an easy game, we are waiting for a good fight."
